I clearly suck at updating my blog, oops. I think the last time I wrote about anything was when I first arrived in Turkey...which was ...3 months ago?
Well a lot has happened since then, I came back from Istanbul, then jetted off to Saskatoon a day later. We celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary. Say that to yourself again, 60th wedding anniversary. 60 years together! What an inspiration and great example of true, everlasting love!
After we came back from Saskatoon, 10 days letter we got on a flight to Hawaii! We stayed in Maui for 10 days and is probably one of the best 10 days I've spent. I fell in love with Hawaii. Visually it's beautiful but everything else about is fantastic! The whole island vibe, everyone is just so chill. That hustle and bustle of the city life is just not there and I love that. Our last day in Maui was a very special day too - I got ENGAGED! Yes, engaged. So very over the moon about that! I'm excited what this next chapter is going to bring!
Come September. I started my new school (still same program) and it has been going very great! I'm already loving the different teaching style compared to the previous post secondary institute I was at. Four more years and I'll have my degree and kick butt in the industry (fingers crossed)!
For now, I am coming to terms with the summer coming to a close (today was a good kick in the face with it pouring like Vancouver does). These feelings brings on feelings of excitement for the holidays though, so sometimes I can't complain. But still, I would much rather be in a warm climate all year round - Hawaii!?
I will try to keep this blog updated more frequently. So until next time, much
